The Egyptian government has resolved to launch a tender for a mobile virtual network operator licence. Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed Salem agreed the step in a meeting with the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority. The NTRA said a technical, financial and legal committee will be formed to set up the regulatory framework for the licence. This committee will finalize the RFP and tender documents no later than three months from the date of the NTRA's board resolution.
