Tower Bridge Olympic Rings - At night

On the 27th June 2012, with just one month to go before the London Olympics commences; the giant Olympic Rings fitted to the capital's iconic Tower Bridge had been revealed for the public. The Rings are being lit with GE Lighting's EF2000 fixtures, as part of the extensive lighting refurbishment of the Tower Bridge, which GE has been extremely proud to be a part of.

GE has played a major role in contributing to the 2012 Olympics to become the first ever sustainable Games. Dr. Endre Ascsillan, GE Healthcare's CEE Government Relations Director has been invited to the studio of Hungarian Halozat TV to talk about the remarkable technical achievement made by GE experts. The interview was broadcast on the 7th of July in a Saturday evening TV show called "Helyzetkép" (Insight). In the 8 minute long interview Mr Ascsillan described the efforts of the GE Lighting team to transform the Tower Bridge, one of the world's most recognizable landmarks with a new world-class lighting system in time to mark the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. A two minute long video about the new lighting system in operation was also shown in the TV show. He also shared exciting details about GE Healtcare's technologies that were partly developed in the Hungarian R&D Center.
